Addition and aggregative efficiency

چکیده
Abstract The aim of this paper is to relate the condition for cost subadditivity aggregative efficiency. In particular, we verify that function occurs when aggregate efficiency not less than average production unit. This provides a simple way examining potential merging two or more firms and making inference about extent industry concentration. It also nonparametric test function.

Aggregative Games with Entry1
Aggregative games are used to model strategic interaction in many elds of economics, including industrial organization, political economy, international trade, and public nance. In such games, each players payo¤ depends on his/her own actions and an aggregate of all players actions. Examples in industrial organization are the Cournot oligopoly model, logit and CES di¤erentiated products Ber...
متن کاملLocal Aggregative Games
Aggregative games provide a rich abstraction to model strategic multi-agent interactions. We introduce local aggregative games, where the payoff of each player is a function of its own action and the aggregate behavior of its neighbors in a connected digraph. We show the existence of pure strategy -Nash equilibrium in such games when the payoff functions are convex or sub-modular. We prove an i...
متن کاملAggregative Public Good Games
We exploit the aggregative structure of the public good model to provide a simple analysis of the voluntary contribution game. In contrast to the best response function approach, ours avoids the proliferation of dimensions as the number of players is increased, and can readily analyse games involving many heterogeneous players. We demonstrate the approach at work on the standard pure public eco...
متن کاملAggregative combinatorics: An introduction
This paper is an exploratory introduction to issues surrounding the combinatorial expressivity and computational complexity of weakly aggregative modal logic (WAL) – the latter insofar as it relates to the former, but also more generally. We begin by showing how WAL allows us to define a natural hierarchy of (recognition) optimization problems not generally available in logics as strong as K. I...
متن کاملWeakly Aggregative Modal Logic: Characterization and Interpolation
In this paper, we study the model theoretical aspects of Weakly Aggregative Modal Logic (WAML), which is a collection of disguised polyadic modal logics with n-ary modalities whose arguments are all the same. We give a van-Benthem-Rosen characterization theorem of WAML based on an intuitive notion of bisimulation, and show that WAML has Craig Interpolation.
